This recipe combines the sweet & sour flavour of Indo-Chinese cooking. This can be easily cooked at home & tastes delicious with our Homemakerz Oriental Orange Sauce.
Ingredients:
1. Paneer/Tofu (400 grams)
2. Spring onion (1 cut into strips)
3. Carrot (1 cut into slices)
4. Cabbage (1/4th cut into cubes)
5. Pineapple slices (2 cut into cubes)
6. Green and red pepper (3/4th cut into cubes)
7. Cloves of finely chopped garlic (3-4)
8. Homemakerz Oriental Orange Sauce (1 cup)
9. Vinegar (1/2 cup)
10. Salt & pepper as required
11. Soya sauce (4 tablespoons)
12. Cornflour slurry (1/2 cup)
Method:
Step 1: Chop paneer, cut spring onion finely, cut peppers and pineapple into cubes, slice the carrot & cabbage finely
Step 2: Add corn flour, salt, pepper, and water in a deep bowl. Whisk well until a thick and smooth batter is formed. Ensure that the batter is not runny. Dip the paneer and fry till golden brown
Step 3: Add Homemakerz Oriental Orange Sauce, soy sauce & vinegar in a bowl. Mix well and keep aside
Step 4: Heat oil in a wok placed over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic in it. Once the onion turns glossy, add the carrots & cabbage along with peppers and cook for another 3 minutes. Add the pineapple
Step 5: Add the Homemakerz Oriental Orange Sauce, soy sauce & vinegar mixture into the wok and boil
Step 6: Once boiled, add the fried paneer along with the leftover corn flour batter. Season with salt and pepper & stir well. Simmer until the sauce thickens
Step 7: Sweet and Sour Orange Paneer is ready. Garnish with the spring onion greens and serve hot with chilli garlic rice
