Incredibly moist & juicy and a different style of recipe for cooking chicken. The secret ingredient being Homemakerz Curry Salt & Garam Masala!
Ingredients
1. Chicken (1kg)
2. Homemakerz Curry Salt (1tablespoon)
3. Onion Puree (of 3-4 big onions)
4. Tomato Puree (of 6-8 tomatoes)
5. Beaten Curd (1 cup)
6. Ginger-Garlic Paste (2 tablespoons)
7. Green Chillis (2)
8. Bay Leaves (2)
9. Big Cardamom (2)
10. Dalchini/ Cinnamon Stick (1 inch)
11. Desi Ghee (3 tablespoons)
12. Kabuli Chana (1 cup)
13. Salt to taste
14. Kashmiri Red Chilli (1 teaspoon)
15. Dhania Powder (1teaspoon)
16. Homemakerz Garam Masala (1teaspoon)
Method
Step 1. Soak the kabuli chana overnight and boil them. (Be careful not to overcook the chana)
Step 2. Marinate the chicken in Homemakerz Curry Salt for an hour.
Step 3. Heat desi ghee in a heavy bottom pan or kadhai and add the whole spices.
Step 4. Add the onion puree, once it changes slight colour, add the chicken and the ginger-garlic paste.
Step 5. Cook the chicken till slightly golden, then add tomato puree, boiled chana, dhania powder, salt, Homemakerz Garam Masala & Kashmiri red chilli powder.
Step 6. Cook till the chicken is almost done, and then add beaten curd & stir continuously till everything blends well.
Step 7. Cover and cook on slow flame for 5-7 minutes.
Step 8. Garnish well with fresh coriander and green chillis.
Step 9. Serve hot with roti or naan.
